We have over a dozen shades of white filling material so as to match your tooth exactly.
Bonding
Direct bonding is a more rapid cosmetic solution that can be used to mask stains, close spaces and repair fractures. The color of the bonding material is carefully matched to the other teeth to ensure a truly natural appearance. The closely matched materials are then applied, or bonded, to the tooth surface.

These porcelain coverings are very similar to a porcelain crown but they only require minimal tooth removal. If you are considering veneers, we can even fabricate a wax version of what your smile will look like before you have anything actually done to change it.
With veneers you can change the shape and length of your teeth. Veneers are thin, durable shells designed to cover the front of the teeth and are typically made of porcelain and are extremely durable, stain resistant, and easy to maintain. Veneers are new enamel placed over the teeth to result in a gorgeous new smile.

These reasons can include bruxism (teeth grinding), general decay, cracked fillings, root canals, and many others. If your tooth is beyond repair with a filling material, we may recommend that the best viable option to save the tooth is a full crown. The reasons for this type of restoration in a badly damaged tooth are durability, cosmetic appearance, and overall support of the chewing function.
Crowns are needed for a variety of reasons. Usually due to lack of supporting tooth structure due to a large cavity, a root canal, or a crack or fracture. We offer a variety of crowns including all porcelain (no metal), porcelain fused to metal, all gold, all silver, or a metal-porcelain combination. Crowns are fixed and cannot be removed by the patient.

Types of Bridges
A bridge, by definition, is a link or connection between two permanent structures. A dental bridge is very similar in that it attaches the restorative teeth (bridge) to the natural teeth on either side of the gap. This bridge acts as your new teeth, closing the gap and restoring your smile. Bridges are often constructed of gold or metal foundations with porcelain fused to the foundation. This ensures that the bridge will support the normal functions of the mouth.

If an infected tooth is left alone for a long period of time, an abscess can form. An abscess will show up on an x-ray as a dark spot below the apex of the root. This is actually bone loss in the jaw. It is very important to catch this problem before it deteriorates too far.
Long after our primary (baby) teeth have been replaced by permanent teeth, we get third molars - a set of four permanent teeth which come in behind the upper and lower 12-year molars. Third molars are called "wisdom" teeth because they generally erupt between 17 and 21 years of age, when we reach adulthood.

Third molars are called "wisdom" teeth because they generally erupt between 17 and 21 years of age, when we reach adulthood.
Wisdom teeth that are healthy and properly positioned can be a valuable asset to the mouth. Unfortunately, this is not often the case, and problems develop that require their removal. For example, when the jaw is not large enough to accommodate these teeth, they can become impacted - unable to come in or move into their proper place. They may grow sideways, emerge only part way from the gum, or remain trapped beneath the gum and bone.
The illustration to the right shows how wisdom teeth can be either horizontally or vertically impacted. Impacted teeth require removal to prevent future infection, systs, or shipfting of teeth. After removal, the remaining socket will fill in with bone. Impaction occurs most often in the third molars of the lower jaw. People between the ages of 16 and 19 should have their wisdom teeth evaluated. After examining your mouth and taking X-rays, Dr Batniji will discuss whether your wisdom teeth should be removed.
